What are the 4 dham

hindi dharm me chardham yatra ka bahut mahatva rakhta hai. In Hindu religion, by doing Chardham, a person gets freedom from life and death. By doing Chardham, a person gets salvation.It is also one of the most sacred pilgrimage sites of India, Chardham.

Chardham Yatra mostly starts from Haridwar and ends in Haridwar.

What are the places in Chardham:-

 In doing Chardham, one is given darshan of Chardham temple. Like Yamnotari, Gangotari, Badrinath and Kedarnath, one is given darshan of Chardham. From Haridwar, one is shown the direction of the needle on the donkey. First, one is given darshan of Yamnotari, then two others are given. Go to Gangotri, then to Kedarnath and finally to Badrinath.

India's Chardham Yatra:-

Yamnotari, Gangotari, Kedarnath and Badrinath reside in uttrakhand or Chhota Chardham or India's Chardham Yatra is Rameshwaram, Jagannathpuram, Dwarika or Kedarnath or it travels from different places of India.Chardham Yatra was founded by Aadi Shankracharya. Char Dham Yatra involves visiting important and sacred temples located in all four corners of India (East, West, North and South).

Imortance of Yamnotari:-

Yamunotri Dham is one of the Char Dham pilgrimages of India. It is located in Garhwal in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand. It is believed that by worshiping Mother Yamuna in Yamunotri Dham, one gets relief from the torture of Yama.

Gangotri ji darshan in Chardham:-

The source of the river in Gangotri Dham is called Bhagarati.

Ganga comes out of Gomukh, there is a very big glacier here from where it melts and further takes the form of river.

Darsham of kedarnath:- One attains salvation by visiting Kedarnath. Here is one of the 12 Shivalingas of India which resides in the form of an ox.Regarding Kedarnath it is written that the person who travels to Badrinath without visiting Kedarnath. After the end of the Mahabharata war, the Pandavas wanted to get rid of the sin of killing all the Kaurava brothers and other captives.

Lord Shiva became engrossed when he saw Pandavas coming towards him.

Important of badrinath of chardham :- Badrinath is seen in Chardham in which Lord Vishnu is present. it is also known as the 7th Baikundh Dham, which a person should definitely visit once in his life.
