Places to visit in Gangotri: Along with visiting Gangotri ji, you can also enjoy some places whose beauty is unmatched. Along with having darshan of Gangotri ji, you can also enjoy such places whose beauty is unmatched. There is also such some place which the devotee's heart falls upon and the person wants to come here again and again like-
Pandava Gufa: This ancient cave is located at a mere distance of 1.5 kms from Gangotri right on the Uttarkashi – Gangotri road. It is believed that this is the place where the Pandava brothers are said to have stayed for a while and meditated on their way to mount Kailash. The beauty of this place is unmatched and filled with picturesque and enthralling vistas. The path leading up to the cave is extremely enchanting and filled with boundless natural beauty.
Surya Kund: Surya Kund waterfall in Gangotri can be seen at a distance of about 500 meters from the holy Gangotri temple. It is believed that Goddess Parvati used to take bath in Suryakund as a form of worship to Sun God. When rain falls on the pond as the sun rises, a rainbow appears.
Kashi Vishwanath Temple: Kashi Vishwanath Temple was initially built by Rishi Parshuram and later renovated by Maharani Khaneti, wife of Sudarshan Shah in 1857. Kashi Vishwanath Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is said that whenever a devotee comes to visit Chardham, he definitely wants to visit this temple.
Apart from this, Harsil, Tapovan Kuti, Benital, and Manikarnika Ghat are also famous places here, which people flock to see.
Places to visit in yamunotri: Along with visiting Yamunotri ji, you can also enjoy some places whose beauty is unmatched. There is also such some place which the devotee's heart falls upon and the person wants to come here again and again like-
Janki Chatti: Janki Chatti is situated at an altitude of 2,700 meters above sea level, the water here remains naturally hot which is its main feature. While going towards the main Dham of Yamunotri, you can stop at Janaki Chatti and rest there. Surrounded by mesmerizing mountain from all sides this hot water spring is believed to carry medicinal properties which cures you of all your physical and mental ailments.
Divya Shila: The Divya Shila is an important place of worship for the believers of the Yamunotri town. The stone tower of referred to as Divya Shila is located close to the Surya Kund hot spring. The stone pillar is one of the important structures in the Hindu religion. The pilgrimages are supposed to make prayers at the rock pillar of Divya Shila before they enter the Yamunotri temple.
Apart from this, Kharsali, Hanuman Chatti, and Saptarishi Kund are also famous to visit here.
