CHARDHAM YATRA TEMPLES
CHARDHAM YATRA is one of the most religious or religious pilgrimages of Hindu religion. Every Hindu wants to visit Chardham once in his life. Here is four temples incllude in Chardham yatra. Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath are that four temples.
Yamunotri- Yamunotri is the first temple in chardham yatra. this is the seat of goddess Yamuna and source of the Yamuna River. This Yamunotri river source from the Gharwal Himalayas. The holy thermal spring of Janki Chatti is the main attraction point of here’s which id approx 7 Km far from the Yamunotri temple. Hot water source is also here to temple which is known by the name of Surya Kund. Divya Shila rock is near to Surya Kund where pilgrimage do worship for the Goddess Yamuna.
Gangotri- Gangotri temple is located at the Gangotri town in Uttrakhand district. Gangotri Temple is the second site in Chardham Yatra. This temple devoted to Goddess Ganga. It is origin of the Ganga river. Source of river Ganga is the Bhagirthi river which originating from the Glacier of Gangotri. This temple was built by the Amar Singh Thapa (Nepalese). The duties of rituals are supervised by the pujaris of Semwal family. These pujaris belongs from the Mukhba village.

Kedarnath- Kedarnath is one of the historical temples in India. This temple devoted to lord Shiva. After the Gangotri Teple drshan pilgrimage next visiting point is Kedarnath. This temple open onky for the six monthe approx in a year from April to Oct. Kedarnath opens on the Ashytritiya and clode on the Diwali festival. This is recognition that this temples was created by the Pandvas after the Mahabharat. Pandavas considered themselves guilty for the death of their brothers, so to free themselves from that blame, they established this temple.Pilgrimage comes here all over the India for the worship.
Badrinath- In the Chamoli district here is a district known by the Badrinath. The temple of Badrinath located at here. Lord Vishnu is the devotee of this temple. The black stone image of Badrinarayan discovered by the Adi Shankracharya and make the Saligram in Alakhnanda river. It is believed that by visiting Badrinath Temple, people become free from the bondage of birth and death. This temple is nearby the Mana village which is the last village between India and Nepal.
In whole Chardham yatra here are many sightseeing places also which pilgrimage covers in their trip. Like- Kashi Vishwnath Temple, Triyuginarayan, Tapt Kund, Rudraprayag and mmany other places.
