Chardham Yatra is a very important pilgrimage journey
that has been going on since ancient times. Not only in India but also from abroad people come here to see the darshan on pilgrimage because it is believed that by seeing these pilgrims a person becomes free from the cycle of life and death.
The route of this Chardham Yatra starts from Haridwar. Pilgrimages are waiting for Chardham Yatra by booking train tickets two to three months in advance.

Chardham Yatra normally starts from Haridwar, Delhi and Dehradun. But mostly people start from Haridwar because the route to Chardham from here is simple and short.
Haridwar To Barkot- The distance from Haridwar to Barkot is 188 km which takes minimum 5-6 hours to cover. Pilgrimage left from Haridwar in the morning and reached Barkot after wandering the whole day. Here they visit Yamunotri and stay for two days in Barkot.
Barkot To Uttarkashi- Near Barkot the second darshan of Goddess Gangotri happens which is in Uttarkashi. The distance from Barkot to Uttarkashi is not very much, it is only 85 km. So, after leaving Barkot for pilgrimage, we leave for Uttarkashi and here we stay for two days.
Uttarkashi To Guptkashi To Kedarnath- Guptkashi is only 200 km away from Uttarkashi from where pilgrims go to visit Kedarnath Dham. From Guptkashi, pilgrimage takes place to Gaurikund from where the trek to Kedarnath Dham starts. Pilgrimage trek from Gaurikund reaches Kedarnath Dham and this day they stay in the camp there. In the morning pilgrimage visit Kedarnath and after that do the trek and go back to Guptkashi. Before and after Kedarnath trek, the stay after is in Guptkashi.
Guptkashi To Joshimath- From Guptkashi to Joshimath it is 155km or it takes 5hr to reach the distance. Joshimath goes after Kedarnath because from here Badrinath is only 2hr's distance away. Traveling in the dark at night in hill area can be harmful hence the Cabio stops their clients at Joshimath at the place of the Badrinath.
Joshimath-Badrinath-Rudraprayag- This day in the morning pilgrimage cabs are taken to Badrinath. And after the darshan, we roam around the places near here for the whole day and leave for Rudraprayag before nightfall.
Rudraprayag To Haridwar- Rudraprayag is the last stop of pilgrims from here they return to Haridwar. Rudraprayag to Haridwar only takes 6 hrs time. The distance between these two is 160 km only. After returning to Haridwar, the pilgrims happily leave for their respective homes.
