There are many people in India who want to visit Kedarnath Dham in the month of Saavan, because Saavan is the month of Lord Shiva. The month of Saavan is of one month which is characterized by heavy rainfall. It starts from July and ends on the day of Rakshabandhan in August.

Everyone knows that Kedarnath Dham is situated in Uttarakhand and Uttrakhand is a land due to which whenever it rains, there are many chances in the natural disaster which is there and for the people who go from outside.

But people are more attracted to the month of Sawan because it is the main time of Lord Shiva. Or those who visit in Sawan will get many rewards. There is as much risk in Char Dham in Saavan as there is profit. That is why Chardham is less crowded in the month of Sawan.

Because of all these reasons, the government kept on giving Chardham Yatra every year even if the route was not right then darshan not allowed, after that when the route became normal, the government again started the journey. That is why pilgrimage we suggest to pilgrimage to start the journey only if all the situations get better.
